upcoming workshops with the PA Guild of Craftsmen

I’m excited to announce that I will be teaching two upcoming workshops with the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen!

Business Basics for Artists, Makers & Designers will cover the skills you need to build your creative pursuits into a full-fledged business. Topics will include structuring your business, creating your brand identity, developing your business goals and strategy, pricing for profit, identifying key markets and revenue streams and so much more.

Wholesale Basics for Makers will cover valuable information for tackling wholesale including setting your terms and policies, developing your wholesale line sheet, catalog and promotional materials, and finding and exhibiting at trade shows.

Both workshops will take place on April 17th at Millersville University, near Lancaster, PA.  Business Basics will take place in the morning, followed by Wholesale in the afternoon.  You can sign up for one or both workshops on the Guild’s website.  Millersville is not to far from Philly, Baltimore, parts of Delaware, and much of PA – if you’re in the area, I hope you’ll join us for one or both of the workshops.  I’d love to meet more of my readers in person!

Can’t get to PA? I’d love to do a workshop for your guild, group, or school.  Feel free to email me at megan(at)craftMBA.com.

  1. Hi Megan,

This sounds wonderful! We have small workshops here at the studio and I know some of our artists would be interested in this. Can you send me some information so I can keep it in the file of Great Ideas?

    Thanks,
    Kellie

  2. Fantastic… I look forward to reading more of your blog. I too am a one-woman show and have very similar aspirations to yours, business wise that is.

    To your success.
    Cheers,
    Marie-Nicole

  3. Any chance you could do a “Go To Meeting” webinar of your workshop. We’re in Wisconsin and would love to learn from you.

  4. Kellie – I’ll be sending you some info this weekend!

    Marie-Nicole – welcome!

Steve – I probably won’t be able to do a webinar of these – but I am planning on offering some online workshops sometime in the near future.
