to market, to market

Today I have a few announcements of some exciting stuff going on.

On Thursday, I’m off to Philly (off is stretching it as I don’t live that far away) for the Buyer’s Market of American Craft.  I’ll be exhibiting, and I’d love to meet anyone who will be there exhibiting or walking the show.  I’m in Booth 722, so stop by and say hello, I’d love to meet you!

On Sunday at BMAC, I’ll be taking part in a panel with Tara and the lovely ladies of Art Star.  We’ll be sharing our favorite finds from the show to help store buyers find products that appeal to younger shoppers.  It should be fun and filled with lots of eye candy.  (And if you’re exhibiting, and you think your products appeal to the younger crowd, and you want to make my life easier, shoot me an email – megan(at)craftmba.com with your booth number and I’ll be sure to stop by.)

Next Tuesday, February 22, at 7 PM Eastern Time, I’m giving a workshop at MICA on Finding Your Market.  I’ll be talking about developing your products for a niche market, how to figure out who your ideal customer is, and what to do with that information once you’ve got it.  Space for the on-site portion is full, but because it’s co-sponsored by Etsy, you can actually watch online for free!  You can check out the post on Etsy’s blog for more info on the workshop series.

And finally, in a few weeks I’ll be opening registration for the next session of the Marketing for Makers e-course.  The next session will run from April to June and it will be the last time I offer this course in 2011.  (I’m planning on covering a different topic this fall.)  If you want to be the first to know when registration opens (and save $100 on the registration fee) sign-up for the pre-launch list below.  The group this session is great, and I’m loving all the progress everyone is making.  I hope you’ll consider joining me for the next session!

Yes! Please let me know when the next session of the Marketing for Makers e-course is open for registration!
