registration is open for the next session of the Marketing for Makers e-course

Registration is officially open for the next session of Marketing for Makers!

I learned a lot the first time I taught the Marketing for Makers e-course in the fall of 2010. The biggest thing I learned is that fall is a terrible time to run a marketing e-course aimed at makers!

If you’re like most makers, fall is your busy season. There are fall craft shows to do, and inventory to produce in anticipation of the holidays, which for most of us is the time we make our best money for the year.

You don’t have time to be learning about marketing. You need to already have a marketing plan you can put into action!

Which is why this upcoming session of Marketing for Makers will be the last time I offer this course in 2011!

I want to make sure that you’ve got a solid marketing strategy in place so that you can take advantage of the busiest retail time of the year. That’s why the course is scheduled to wrap the last week of June (it starts April 4th). That should give you plenty of time to do some serious marketing for the holidays (and apply some of the strategies at your summer craft shows as well).

If you’re interested in joining the course, or need more information, you can head over to marketingformakers.com for more info and to register.

  1. For anyone that is wondering if this course is for you, let me say that if you are looking to grow your business with smart, practical advice that is applicable to a craft biz then I say YES!

For the record, Megan has not asked me to say any of this. Yet having taken the course a few months ago, I feel compelled to share my feedback with anyone who is trying to decide whether or not to take this e-course. What I have learned from this one course was invaluable to helping move forward in the right direction with my online business.

I have signed up for my fair share of e-courses but none have ever compared to Megan’s course. With running a one woman online biz I was looking for smart, and most importantly practical business advice and strategies that pertained to a small crafting biz. I did not want to be given information that quite frankly was more suited to a huge e-commerce biz. Megan’s course was clear, reliable and most importantly gave me information and strategies that I could implement right away. These aren’t strategies that Megan is promising will grow your business right away. But if you are committed to putting in the time, some money and the work, she provides you with the tools to move your business in a direction that will hopefully bring you a clearer understanding of who your target audience is and ways of providing value for your customers. That understanding along with the other information Megan provides will help you learn how to drive more traffic to your site, gain more exposure, which in turn hopefully leads to a sustainable, profitable business.

I return to Megan’s worksheets and information over and over again. I am so grateful for having been given the opportunity to take this ecourse so that I may gain insight that is helping me grow my business authentically, and in a way that is also helping me move closer to my business goals.

    Thank you.
