online workshops through Crafting an MBA!

I had such a great time presenting business workshops the other weekend through the PA Guild of Craftsmen that it got me thinking – wouldn’t it be great if I could make those workshops available to more people in more places?

Well, through the magic of the Internet, it is possible!  I’ve hooked up with Instant Presenter to bring you online workshops!  I’m so excited about this new venture because it allows me to fulfill one of my core goals in starting CMBA – helping designers and makers learn business skills without the time and expense of pursuing a formal degree.

Starting in May, I’ll be offering workshops on different topics to help you grow your business.  On May 12th, I’ll be offering Business 101.  This workshop will guide you through the nuts and bolts of running your own business, from choosing a business structure, to identifying key markets, to protecting your intellectual property, to creating a business plan that ties it all together.  On May 19th, I’m offering Marketing Kick Start.  If you want to know how to get your work featured in the press, or how to drive more traffic to your website via blogging and social media, then this is the class for you.  And on May 20th, I’m offering Pricing for Profit.  This class will cover not only the formulas behind setting your pricing, but we’ll look at how the market and perceived value effect pricing – all with the goal of helping you make money from the products you sell.

For more information or to register, head over to the workshops page.  Each workshop is limited to 20 participants, so don’t wait!

And if you’d like to know a little more about how the online workshop format works, check out this little video I made.  I recorded it using Instant Presenter, so you’ll get a feel for exactly how the online workshop works.
